ЕВА and GB4U meeting with the World Trade Organization

As part of the visit to Geneva, the European Business Association and Global Business for Ukraine team had the opportunity to hold an introductory meeting with the World Trade Organization (WTO). We visited the organization’s office and discussed potential areas of cooperation that could be valuable for the business community in Ukraine. We had an interesting conversation about the WTO’s Public Forum, which took place on September 17-18 this year. This platform brings together stakeholders from government, business, academia, and civil society to debate trends and policy in global trade, and this channel can be relevant to Ukraine’s business sector for engagement and knowledge-sharing. We also explored how Ukraines National Trade Facilitation Committee (NTFC) might function as a bridge between government and business. NTFCs help streamline trade procedures, coordinate reforms across agencies, and ensure that private-sector perspectives shape trade facilitation policies. We highly appreciate the WTOs openness to dialogue. We are confident that the knowledge and new contacts gained will benefit the business community operating in Ukraine.
