Ukraine’s recovery: business continues work on key priorities

  On 16 July, the European Business Association’s Ukraine Recovery Committee held its latest meeting. Participants discussed the outcomes of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Rome, as well as the recent Committee side event Facts vs Fiction: Business Realities in Ukraine. During the meeting, a number of priorities were outlined for the Committee’s further work: The concept of an “Industrial Ramstein”: transferring equipment to Ukrainian enterprises affected by the war. The Committee is currently collecting proposals on the types of equipment critically needed by businesses. Support for frontline regions: Committee members were invited to provide input on the Proposals on Supporting Business in Frontline Territories. War risk insurance: participants discussed the outcomes of a roundtable in Brussels, which featured the presentation of draft law No. 12372 on war risk insurance. Preparation for the ReBuild Ukraine Conference in Warsaw: the Committee is gathering ideas for topics and issues to be raised at the event. Investment opportunities catalogue: a useful resource featuring international recovery programmes was introduced. The meeting also welcomed representatives from Chemonics and the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, who presented their own initiatives to support Ukrainian businesses. The European Business Association sincerely thanks all participants for their proactive involvement, valuable ideas, and willingness to work together towards the recovery of Ukraine.
