Culture, Diplomacy, Business: Ukraine’s evening in Geneva

30/ 09/ 2025
On September 24, a special gathering took place in Geneva, co-organized by the European Business Association, Global Business for Ukraine, and the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN Office in Geneva. The event brought together business leaders, members of the diplomatic corps, and representatives of international organizations at the premises of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The welcoming remarks came from Yevheniy Tsymbaliuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Office and other IO in Geneva; Anna Derevyanko, Executive Director of the European Business Association, CEO and Co-Founder of Global Business for Ukraine; and Lesia Voroniuk, Co-Founder of the Vyshyvanka Day NGO. A cultural highlight of the evening was the opening of the Unbroken Heritage exhibition, introduced by Lesia Voroniuk. It featured unique Ukrainian folk costumes from temporarily occupied territories. The exhibition allowed guests to experience the beauty and craftsmanship of Ukrainian traditions. It also served as a reminder of the urgent need to protect cultural heritage that is now at risk. Guests had the opportunity to explore Ukraine’s cultural legacy, and the exhibition will remain on display at WIPO for two weeks. We sincerely thank all attendees for joining us, as well as our co-organizers – the Permanent Mission of Ukraine to the UN in Geneva – and WIPO for their kind hospitality.
