INTEGRITES Successfully Protected Interests of Dunapack Packaging in Precedent-Setting Multimillion Tax Dispute

INTEGRITES represented a leading Ukrainian sustainable packaging manufacturer and helped to prevail in a dispute against the State Tax Service of Ukraine before the court of first instance. The dispute involving UAH 30 million arose from the tax authorities’ refusal to recognise the client’s expenses for intra-group services rendered by non-resident entities. The court of first instance ruled in favour of the client, cancelling the tax assessment notice. The successful outcome of the case may set a precedent for the similar disputes in the future, as it is aimed at developing court position in relation to market-widespread intra-group services involving non-residents. The team working on the project was led by Partner Viktoriya Fomenko and included Senior Associate Vitalii Labadin.
