EBA met with the leadership of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection

  The European Business Association held a working meeting with Serhii Tkachuk, Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, during which a wide range of issues of concern to the business community was discussed. In particular, participants focused on the digitalisation of procedures and the development of electronic services for exporters. They also discussed the process of sample collection during import, inspections carried out by the Service, as well as the update and application of methodological guidelines. Other topics in focus included the issuance of international certificates for fish and seafood from the Netherlands, current aspects related to veterinary certificates, and procedures for registering dietary supplements with the Service. The business community presented a number of proposals for the “Dairy Module” software. In addition, participants discussed the regulation of biocides and the completion of ongoing registrations of veterinary medicinal products following the entry into force of the new law on veterinary medicine. The parties also touched upon other important issues affecting companies’ operational activities in Ukraine. The EBA expresses its gratitude to the leadership of the State Service for openness, constructive dialogue, and continuous cooperation with the business community. We look forward to continued effective interaction aimed at improving business conditions in Ukraine.
