EBA welcomes Government initiatives to support veterans

26/ 08/ 2025
The European Business Association welcomes the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which, at its meeting on 22 August 2025, approved 11 important initiatives aimed at supporting the defenders of our country. In particular, the EBA highly values the Government’s initiatives on: establishing veteran hubs, providing systematic support, introducing adaptation and rehabilitation programmes, and offering financial assistance, such as compensation of 50% of the cost of vehicles. The European Business Association and its member companies stand ready to actively contribute to the implementation of state projects on the reintegration of veterans into civilian and economic life. The business community will provide assistance with employment by creating tailored hiring programmes, adapting workplaces for veterans with disabilities, supporting professional retraining and social integration, as well as offering mentoring and expert guidance for veterans who wish to start their own businesses. Anna Derevyanko. Executive Director of the European Business Association. Many of our member companies have experience of working with veterans in different countries across the world. We are ready to share these best practices and jointly develop new solutions adapted to Ukrainian realities. The European Business Association calls on private sector representatives to join these government initiatives, in order to collectively build a strong and inclusive economy that takes into account the needs of Ukraine’s defenders.
