During the meeting, participants discussed the key challenges faced by the sector in 2025 and outlined the Committee\u2019s priority areas of work for the coming year. These priorities include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"413\">harmonisation of national legislation with EU legislation and standards;<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"413\">digitalisation of processes;<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"126\" data-end=\"413\">work on improving the food safety and quality assurance system.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"588\" data-end=\"970\">In addition, participants addressed a number of business-relevant issues, including procedures for the notification of baby food following legislative changes, restrictions on the import of products from Spain due to African swine fever, clarification of requirements for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, as well as other challenges facing the sector.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The year-end meeting of the European Business Association\u2019s Food Committee took place in 2025.
