On 11 December, the European Business Association held the final meeting of the ESG Hub and the Working Group on Veteran Practices and Policies at the DTEK Academy office. The meeting was dedicated to summarising the year\u2019s activities of the Hub and the Working Group, as well as discussing current issues related to ESG, veteran policies, and HR.<\/p>\n

The event brought together representatives of EBA member companies, charitable organisations, and experts. Participants had the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers and exchange practical experience.<\/p>\n

Among the speakers was Serhii Ivashchenko<\/strong>, a Co-chair of the EBA ESG Hub, who also moderated the event. He summarised the key changes, challenges, and trends in the ESG field in 2025 and outlined plans for 2026.<\/p>\n

Serhii Montyk<\/strong> presented the findings of a joint study by Data Driven and the European Business Association, \u201cVeterans in Ukrainian Business: Strategic Approaches to Reintegration and Change Management\u201d<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Vadym Halytskyi<\/strong>, Project Lead of the ProVeteran initiative at DTEK, shared information about the initiatives and programmes implemented by the company to support its veteran and military employee workforce.<\/p>\n

Nataliia Abramova<\/strong>, Adviser to the CEO of DTEK Energo on veteran support, addressed the issue of creating inclusive employment conditions for people with disabilities at DTEK Energo\u2019s production facilities. In particular, she introduced participants to company practices such as automated matching of candidates\u2019 functional abilities with the physical requirements of specific roles.<\/p>\n

Tetiana Sherman<\/strong>, Head of Marketing and Communications at DTEK Academy, shared the company\u2019s experience in supporting employees\u2019 mental health.<\/p>\n

The speakers also included representatives of the Kyiv Regional Centre for Prepearing the Population for National Resistance, which has trained over 10,000 civilians. Anastasiia Rymar<\/strong>, the Centre\u2019s founder, emphasised the importance of training in resilience, protection, and self-defence under current conditions as a foundation for the future, and presented the training programmes available through the Centre.<\/p>\n
