On 28 October, the European Business Association held an online meeting of the ESG Hub dedicated to ESG practices and initiatives within the pharmaceutical sector.<\/p>\n

During the session, speakers presented their organisations\u2019 case studies on implementing ESG practices, discussed related challenges, and outlined future plans. In particular, Andrii Nahornyi, Acting Director of the State Enterprise \u201cUkrvaktsyna\u201d of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine<\/strong>, and Kateryna Liukhanova, Deputy Director<\/strong> of the same enterprise, highlighted key ESG initiatives, including:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Rapid logistics of humanitarian aid for healthcare facilities across Ukraine;<\/li>\n
  • Providing hospitals with generators and solar panels;<\/li>\n
  • Mobile Pharmacy Units (MAPs): a project ensuring a complete cycle of medical assistance;<\/li>\n
  • Support for the state programme Affordable Medicines, which enables free or discounted access to pharmaceuticals;<\/li>\n
  • Partnerships with international missions and charitable organisations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Ukrvaktsyna demonstrates that a state-owned enterprise can be client-oriented, socially responsible, and deliver high-quality services.<\/p>\n

    Victoriia Rosenko, Head of Marketing at Biopharma Plasma<\/strong>, shared the company\u2019s main ESG priorities:<\/p>\n

    • Promoting plasma donation and ensuring its accessibility nationwide;<\/li>\n
    • Creating comfortable conditions for donors in all regions;<\/li>\n
    • Producing life-saving medicines for military personnel, cancer patients, people with immunodeficiency, and children with rare diseases;<\/li>\n
    • Organising corporate donor days and offering the option to transfer donor compensation to charities;<\/li>\n
    • Supporting rehabilitation centres and charitable foundations, including One Blood and Titanovi Rehab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Kateryna Serdyuk, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Repower Foundation<\/strong>, which focuses on the psychological recovery of military medics, presented the organisation\u2019s projects, including a holistic rehabilitation programme.<\/p>\n

      The event reaffirmed that Ukraine\u2019s pharmaceutical sector is actively advancing ESG transformation, from meeting healthcare needs and developing donor culture to building transparent logistics and partnership models.
