The European Business Association\u2019s Business Security and Protection Committee announces the launch of the Defence Technologies Subcommittee<\/a>,\u00a0a specialised platform for discussing initiatives, challenges, and solutions aimed at developing the defence tech industry.<\/p>\n

The Subcommittee brings together companies that manufacture military products, such as defence technologies, personal protective equipment, and electronic warfare systems, as well as businesses providing services or solutions to support and strengthen the defence-industrial sector.<\/p>\n

The Committee\u2019s activities will focus on building effective cooperation between business, government authorities, and international partners; developing joint initiatives to enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian defence companies; and creating a platform for exchanging experience, technologies, and innovative solutions.<\/p>\n

Key areas of the Subcommittee\u2019s work:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Lobbying<\/strong> \u2013 representing the interests of defence industry companies and establishing stable, predictable regulatory conditions for business development.<\/li>\n
  2. Export policy<\/strong> \u2013 developing a concept for balanced (limited) export of goods and services in the sector, aligned with national security interests.<\/li>\n
  3. Access to finance<\/strong> \u2013 expanding opportunities for attracting investment and building partnerships in B2B, B2C, and B2G formats.<\/li>\n
  4. Legislation<\/strong> and intellectual property<\/strong> \u2013 preparing legislative proposals aimed at industry development and ensuring adequate protection of intellectual property rights.<\/li>\n
  5. Codification of weapons<\/strong> and equipment<\/strong> \u2013 contributing to the improvement of procedures for registration, certification, and implementation of new types of weapons and military equipment.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
