{"id":789511,"date":"2025-05-29T13:13:33","date_gmt":"2025-05-29T10:13:33","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2025-06-02T13:27:19","modified_gmt":"2025-06-02T10:27:19","slug":"yevropejska-biznes-asotsiatsiya-ogoloshuye-pro-zapusk-pidkomitetu-z-himichnoyi-bezpeky","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/yevropejska-biznes-asotsiatsiya-ogoloshuye-pro-zapusk-pidkomitetu-z-himichnoyi-bezpeky\/","title":{"rendered":"The European Business Association announces the launch of the chemical safety subcommittee"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"96\" data-end=\"423\">The Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee of the European Business Association is pleased to announce the launch of the <strong data-start=\"235\" data-end=\"267\">Chemical Safety Subcommittee<\/strong> \u2013 a specialised platform for addressing the challenges and identifying solutions related to adapting Ukrainian businesses to European chemical legislation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"425\" data-end=\"497\">The Subcommittee will focus on the implementation of key EU regulations:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"499\" data-end=\"758\">\n<li data-start=\"499\" data-end=\"631\">\n<p data-start=\"501\" data-end=\"631\">Regulation (EC) No 1907\/2006 (REACH) \u2013 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation, and Restriction of Chemicals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"632\" data-end=\"758\">\n<p data-start=\"634\" data-end=\"758\">Regulation (EC) No 1272\/2008 (CLP) \u2013 concerning the Classification, Labelling, and Packaging of substances and mixtures.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"760\" data-end=\"920\">These regulations apply to all companies that manufacture, import, use, or sell chemical substances, mixtures, or biocides in Ukraine. Relevant sectors include:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"1118\">\n<li data-start=\"922\" data-end=\"976\">\n<p data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"976\">the chemical, metallurgical, and heavy industries;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"977\" data-end=\"1023\">\n<p data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1023\">the agricultural sector and food industry;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1024\" data-end=\"1080\">\n<p data-start=\"1026\" data-end=\"1080\">pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and household chemicals;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1081\" data-end=\"1118\">\n<p data-start=\"1083\" data-end=\"1118\">construction, trade, and logistics.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1120\" data-end=\"1150\">The Subcommittee will work on:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1502\">\n<li data-start=\"1152\" data-end=\"1191\">\n<p data-start=\"1154\" data-end=\"1191\">analysing and adapting legislation;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1273\">\n<p data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1273\">advocating for reasonable implementation timelines for technical regulations;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1274\" data-end=\"1315\">\n<p data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1315\">supporting dialogue with authorities;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1316\" data-end=\"1352\">\n<p data-start=\"1318\" data-end=\"1352\">safeguarding business interests;<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1353\" data-end=\"1416\">\n<p data-start=\"1355\" data-end=\"1416\">implementing provisions related to biocidal products (BPR);<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1417\" data-end=\"1502\">\n<p data-start=\"1419\" data-end=\"1502\">and addressing hazardous factors associated with the use and handling of chemicals.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1718\"><strong data-start=\"1504\" data-end=\"1530\">Why is this important?<\/strong> Harmonisation with European chemical legislation is essential to maintain the competitiveness of Ukrainian businesses, enable exports to the EU, and reduce environmental and health risks.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1720\" data-end=\"1904\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Interested companies are welcome to join the Chemical Safety Subcommittee.<br data-start=\"1794\" data-end=\"1797\" \/><br \/>\nContact person \u2013 Viktoriia Karpets: <a class=\"cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1837\" data-end=\"1904\" data-is-last-node=\"\">Viktoriia.Karpets@new.eba.com.ua<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Industrial Ecology and Sustainable Development Committee of the European Business Association is pleased to announce the launch of the Chemical Safety Subcommittee \u2013 a specialised platform for addressing the challenges and identifying solutions related to adapting Ukrainian businesses to European chemical legislation.
