Since early 2025, the EBA\u2019s business community has raised this issue in its communications with government authorities and has consistently called for its swift ratification.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"454\" data-end=\"774\">To recap, on 1 January 2025, the updated version of the Regional Convention on Pan-Euro-Mediterranean Preferential Rules of Origin entered into force in Ukraine. However, the updated version did not include Decision No. 2\/2024 of the Pan-Euro-Med Joint Committee, which introduced a transitional period in December 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"1166\">The ratification of this Decision will simplify customs procedures and enhance the competitiveness of Ukrainian businesses on European and Pan-Euro-Med markets. The EBA extends its gratitude to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and the Government for their attention to this matter.
