On 1 May, Dnipropetrovsk region launched a pilot of the zonal air raid alert system. According to Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, air raid sirens will now sound only in specific districts where an actual threat is detected. The rest of the region will retain a \u201cgreen\u201d status.<\/p>\n
Dnipropetrovsk is the fourth region in Ukraine to implement this approach, following similar initiatives in Zaporizhzhia, Cherkasy, and Zhytomyr regions.<\/p>\n
These regions are critically important for Ukraine\u2019s economy, playing a key role in logistics, industrial activity, and energy infrastructure. Given that both Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia include frontline areas, upgrading the alert system is an important step toward more effective risk management.<\/p>\n
