On October 25, the European Business Association’s Committee Manager, Yuriy Andriiv, participated in a working trip to Rivne Region to attend the roundtable \u201cThe State of Ukraine’s Woodworking and Furniture Industries in Wartime Conditions.\u201d Discussion participants included Dmytro Natalukha, Head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economic Development, and Bohdan Kytsak, Head of the Subcommittee on the Adaptation of Ukrainian Legislation to EU Law (EU acquis) and the Fulfillment of Ukraine\u2019s International Legal Obligations in European Integration under the Committee on Economic Development.<\/p>\n

The updated draft law \u201cOn the Timber Market\u201d was presented during the roundtable. The participants also discussed the importance of developing the woodworking industry to ensure the stable operation of the Ukrainian economy and addressed the issue of timber trading arrangements during wartime.<\/p>\n

The working trip also included visits to furniture factories and companies<\/a>, such as the Danish furniture factory Hjort Knudsen, the international furniture company Morgan Feniche, and the global particle board manufacturer Kronospan.<\/p>\n
