On July 30, the EBA Energy Committee held a working meeting during which companies discussed topical issues of electricity imports.<\/p>\n

In particular, business representatives discussed the provisions of Government Resolution No. 1127<\/a> of October 27, 2023, namely the need to hold a discussion with the Ministry of Energy, Ukrenergo and other organizations on the norms for the percentage of imported electricity purchased by enterprises that would not apply blackout schedules. They also discussed restrictions on the purchase of a fixed amount of imported electricity, namely the importance of discussing a more flexible approach to ordering imported electricity and moving away from multiples of up to 1 MW.<\/p>\n

In a working order, the companies voiced their comments and observations on the above issues, discussed legal and technical issues of import administration, the possibility of uniting importers to comply with purchase volumes, choosing a cross-border commercial import, electricity prices, etc.<\/p>\n
