{"id":789087,"date":"2024-05-29T15:31:26","date_gmt":"2024-05-29T12:31:26","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2024-05-29T15:43:58","modified_gmt":"2024-05-29T12:43:58","slug":"eva-zapustyla-robochu-grupu-z-pytan-veteranskoyi-polityky","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/eva-zapustyla-robochu-grupu-z-pytan-veteranskoyi-polityky\/","title":{"rendered":"EBA launches a Working Group on Veteran Policy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association has launched a Working Group on Veterans&#8217; Practices and Policies within the ESG Hub.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the Working Group is to exchange experience between businesses on aspects and practices of veterans&#8217; integration, consult on changes in legislation and develop legislative initiatives, work with relevant ministries, the Employment Service, communities and local governments, charities and NGOs that provide veterans&#8217; services to create normal conditions for integration, work with educational institutions, etc.<\/p>\n<p>The Working Group members are EBA business members with experience, expertise and relevant veteran practices.<\/p>\n<p>The list of key issues the Working Group will address:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>return and integration of demobilized employees to their jobs;<\/li>\n<li>Veterans&#8217; need for legal support;<\/li>\n<li>veterans&#8217; need for psychological support;<\/li>\n<li>veteran entrepreneurship;<\/li>\n<li>development of programs and initiatives to support veterans in the workplace, advanced training and professional development;<\/li>\n<li>analysis of military practices and policies of other countries;<\/li>\n<li>an integrated approach to the development of legislative initiatives;<\/li>\n<li>simplified procedure for prosthetics;<\/li>\n<li>support for families of employees who are serving or have died;<\/li>\n<li>labor protection.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Volodymyr Zabela, MHP&#8217;s Head of Regional Development, is the chairman of the working group on veteran practices.<\/p>\n<p>The head of the working group from the European Business Association is Tatiana Karelskaya, Head of Human Resources and ESG.<\/p>\n\t<div class=\"blockquote-custom-big animate-block animate-block--before animate-block--to-right\">\n\n\t\t<div class=\"quote-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/photo_2024-05-29-15.42.55.jpeg\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"name\">Tatiana Karelskaya<\/span>\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<span class=\"position\">Head of Human Resources and ESG, European Business Association<\/span>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t<blockquote class=\"blockquote-custom\">\n\t\t\t\tThere is already an urgent need to develop a system for the return of our defenders to civilian life and successful integration. At the same time, educational retraining, legislative revision, training of relevant specialists, etc. take time. We, as a community of socially responsible businesses, understand this and are already beginning to work actively in this area, because veterans are a powerful, highly skilled workforce and businesses will be happy to hire people with such experience.
