During the meetings of EBA Kharkiv companies\u2019 CEOs with the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Donetsk (Dnipro office), Ms Tanya Bayer<\/strong>, cooperation between our countries in various economic fields, business climate and investment potential of Kharkiv region were discussed.<\/p>\n

Regarding the local business environment, entrepreneurs noted that factors such as: poor quality of rail transportation, high gas prices, raiding, outdated document management system, etc., hinder the efficiency of existing and the development of new business in the region. The problems faced with the opening of the land market in Ukraine were of particular concern to the agrarian sector.<\/p>\n

However, the businessmen stressed that their ability to participate in the formation of local tax policy and to have an open dialogue with local authorities are positive aspects that contribute to the establishment of an attractive investment climate in Kharkiv.<\/p>\n
