The Italian business delegation led by the Ambassador Extraordinaire and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Italy to Ukraine<\/strong> Mr Pierre Francesco Zazo<\/strong><\/em> met with the EBA Kharkiv companies\u2019 CEO’s to discuss bilateral cooperation between Ukraine, the Kharkiv region in particular, and Italy.<\/p>\n

Participants noted that Italy is an important trading partner for Ukraine (3rd among the EU countries) as the yearly trade turnover before the pandemic was 4 billion Euro. Returning to and increasing such trade indicators was acknowledged as a pressing priority for both countries.<\/p>\n

Despite the minimal amount of investments in the Kharkiv region by Italian businessmen, Mr Ambassador pointed out industries that are potentially attractive for financial infusions: IT, Know-How, Infrastructure, Agriculture, Renewable Energy and Space Exploration.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the guests also discussed the business environment in Ukraine, the prospects for realization of joint projects in various fields and the obstacles that slow down the mutual business relations development.<\/p>\n
