“Recent changes in legislation. Rent and \u201cBad Debt\u201d in the crisis period”<\/strong> was the topic of the first meeting of the renewed Legal Committee of EBA Kharkiv.<\/p>\n Experienced lawyers of Sayenko Kharenko Law Firm<\/strong><\/em> (Kyiv) Olena Sukmanova<\/em><\/strong> and Anastasia Bidakh<\/strong><\/em> were the speakers.<\/p>\n The meeting began with a discussion of the latest changes in legislation in the land sector. Speaking about the contractual lease relationship, Ms Bidakh<\/strong><\/em> provided practical advice on how to avoid possible risks such as: contractor evaluation and assessment, individualization of the leased object, transparency and comprehensibility for the parties to commercial conditions, defining the purpose of the lease, use of the premises and much more.<\/p>\n Ms Sukmanova<\/strong><\/em> clarified different approaches in dealing with \u201cbad debt\u201d during the crisis. The participants of the meeting received the latest data on the current situation in Ukraine: currently more than 2 million Ukrainians are on the register of debtors. During the last year, their number increased by 18%.
