{"id":788727,"date":"2020-11-25T12:46:00","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T10:46:00","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2024-01-31T22:35:23","modified_gmt":"2024-01-31T20:35:23","slug":"indeks-rozvytku-biznes-seredovyshha-harkivskogo-regionu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/indeks-rozvytku-biznes-seredovyshha-harkivskogo-regionu\/","title":{"rendered":"Business Environment Development in the Kharkiv Region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/biznes-u-regionah-investytsijne-seredovyshhe-na-mistsyah\/\">conducted a survey<\/a>\u00a0among its member companies on the business environment development in the Kharkiv region.<\/p>\n<p>61% of all respondents said that the level of\u00a0<strong>ease of doing business<\/strong>\u00a0is satisfactory, while 33% of them claim that the business climate is unfavorable, and only 6% do not face difficulties in their activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The factors that affect business most negatively<\/strong>\u00a0are corruption and the weak rule of law (28%), bureaucracy (15%) and outdated infrastructure (10%).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>The business community complains<\/strong>\u00a0about the work of the regional administration and the judicial system (50%), the city council (44%), the State Environmental Inspectorate and the State Labor Service (39%). \u00a0Although, the work of the regional customs and the State Tax Service of Ukraine business estimate as neutral (67%).<\/p>\n<p>Regarding the transport infrastructure: 44% of companies are satisfied with the level of its development, but 39% of them did not agree with that. To improve the situation, the vast majority of respondents (67%) believe that road reconstruction is necessary.<\/p>\n<p>Concerning\u00a0<strong>the consequences of quarantine restrictions<\/strong>, 83% of businesses reported losses due to the lockdown, 6% of companies\u00a0broke even, and only 11% of them managed to make a profit.<\/p>\n<p>As for the<strong>\u00a0future prospects<\/strong>, 23% of business representatives find it difficult to plan anything and 20% are going to cut their\u00a0manufacturing\u00a0costs. However and despite the current crisis, 17% of companies are going to enter new markets and 13% showed willingness to implement digital technologies!<\/p>\n<p><strong>To make the business environment<\/strong>\u00a0in the region more favorable, respondents noted the need to reduce the payroll burden (27%), improve the judicial and law enforcement systems (22%), loosen control from governing bodies and cut the loan cost (18%).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association\u00a0conducted a survey\u00a0among its member companies on the business environment development in the Kharkiv region. 61% of all respondents said that the level of\u00a0ease of doing business\u00a0is satisfactory, while 33% of them claim that the business climate is unfavorable, and only 6% do not face difficulties in their activities.
