Business stands with Ukraine in this difficult time. Thus, the EBA members provide strong support to the army, doctors, volunteers, staff, and ordinary citizens. The volume of aid is impressive as well as the variety of ways in which business helps the country. Every company is fighting on its own front and hereunder we would like to highlight some of these stories:<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

\n

Since the beginning of the war, the\u00a0international company ASBIS Enterprise<\/b>\u00a0has been reducing the risks of the humanitarian crisis in the areas most in need and preserving the jobs of all workers, so the country\u2019s economy could function.\u00a0Recently,\u00a010\u00a0ambulances<\/b>\u00a0equipped with special medical equipment have been purchased and delivered.\u00a0<\/span>An important step was the transfer of the\u00a0Modern Mobile X-ray Machine<\/b>\u00a0to Chernihiv Regional Hospital. Now, doctors\u00a0be able to save even more lives. In addition to the above, the company supports the country with\u00a0the essential means:<\/b>\u00a0sleeping mats, sleeping bags, flashlights and clothes.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

ASBIS Enterprise<\/span><\/b>\u00a0has organised the provision of\u00a0technical means<\/b>, namely: electricity generators, 300+ units of laptops and tablets, power banks and modems.\u00a0<\/span>Since the beginning of the war,\u00a0more than 27,000\u00a0medical devices and first-aid kits<\/b>\u00a0have been given to our defenders and territorial defence teams.\u00a0The international company ASBIS Enterprise, represented in Ukraine by\u00a0<\/span>ASBIS-Ukraine<\/a><\/span>, <\/span>Breezy Ukraine<\/a><\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>iOn<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and\u00a0iSupport<\/a>, closely monitors the situation and independently initiates the allocation of aid where it is most in demand and needed.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

During the war, N-iX<\/strong> and their incredible employees raised more than 15,000,000 hryvnias to support Ukraine, the army, and the temporarily displaced persons. The company purchased 14 cars, minibusses, and SUVs, which are donated to the army and for the humanitarian needs of the occupied cities. Thus, one minibus went to Mariupol to deliver humanitarian aid and evacuate people. N-iX also purchased 20 sets of bulletproof vests and helmets for its mobilized employees, donated ammunition and other necessary items to the military, as well as 85 units of computer equipment to the Armed Forces, territorial defense units, and Ukrainian special services.<\/p>\n

The Caparol Ukraine<\/strong> team is also working on Ukraine’s victory. Some colleagues joined the Armed Forces and the territorial defense, volunteer organizations across the country. The company donated bags of dry mixes to strengthen checkpoints, paints, and varnishes to repaint bomb shelters and military barracks, as well as re-equip non-residential premises for temporary residence. The total amount of aid materials includes 530 l of primer, 70 l of facade paints, 880 l of interior paints, and 30 l of enamels. From its own resources, the company has donated fuel for volunteers and the territorial defense units (over 5,000 liters of gasoline and 2,500 liters of diesel fuel), as well as clothing and products to the military. The branded Caparol Center salons in different cities of Ukraine are now equipped for overnight stays of displaced persons.<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the war, Philip Morris<\/strong> Ukraine<\/strong> has focused on the security of its employees, securing tax revenues, and resuming business operations. The company evacuated more than 1,600 colleagues and their relatives, paid one-time financial assistance to all employees, continues to pay salaries, and provided accommodation to all evacuees and their families both in Ukraine and abroad. Philip Morris International<\/strong> has provided $ 10 million to support international humanitarian efforts, including the purchase of 25 ambulances and an X-ray machine for a children’s hospital in Ivano-Frankivsk. In turn, colleagues in 80 countries raised more than $ 500,000 in financial assistance under the Philip Morris initiative \u201cProject with a heart\u201d. An important aspect was the resumption of supplies of the company’s products and the provision of tax revenues, as Philip Morris is one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine. Currently, the tobacco factory in the Kharkiv region is not working, but the company has managed to resume deliveries in those regions where possible, as well as the work of 18 IQOS branded stores. Since the beginning of the war, the company has paid UAH 2.4 billion in excise duties, more than half of which are future advances.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The Foxtrot<\/strong> network has set up 3 “hotels” for IDPs which have already received more than 70 migrants since the beginning of the war. The company has also been providing electronics as charitable aid since the first days of the war. Currently, the amount of such aid reaches UAH 7 million. The company also facilitated the delivery of humanitarian aid to Transcarpathia from Spain via Eventos Ucranianos en el Pa\u00eds Vasco<\/a>. Ukraine has received generators, food, hygiene items, and other essentials from the Basque Country – a total of 28 pallets of cargo. Humanitarian transport from Foxtrot is carried out all over the country: from Lviv through Mizhhirya to Zhovti Vody. Recently, a car with humanitarian aid reached the residents of Trostyanets which had recently been liberated from occupation.<\/p>\n

\"\"\u00a0 \"\"<\/p>\n

Gazki Ukraine<\/strong> has already sent 20,000 euros in aid. Every day they help the affected families from hotspots, provide them with support in moving, finding housing and registration in Bulgaria, Germany and Poland. The company organizes the delivery of humanitarian aid from Great Britain and Germany to Ukraine, delivery of scarce medicines to individuals and a wholesale consignment to the hospital in Nikopol from abroad, helsp in finding and coordinating the necessary material to ensure the safety of Ukrainian defenders. They provide free organizational support to heavy industry companies in Ukraine, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, India, and China whose supply chains previously linked to Ukraine and russia have been disrupted. It also advises and provides comprehensive support in reorganizing their trade relations – from finding new suppliers to opening new markets.<\/p>\n

Chernovetskyi Investment Group<\/strong> as of April 1 provided assistance totaling nearly UAH 59 million. Thus, UAH 9.2 million was transferred to a special account of the NBU, to the Come Back Alive and Save Ukraine Foundations. Another UAH 30 million was allocated for the purchase of military bonds, UAH 2.1 million was provided for food, UAH 16.5 million was provided for ammunition, transport, clothing, and equipment for the military and territorial defense, and UAH 1.1 million was provided for the purchase of medicines.<\/p>\n

METRO Ukraine<\/strong> supports a culinary army that feeds Ukrainian defenders with delicious food. The company supports its professional customers and provides hot food products to more than 7,000 servicemen and civilians who have been forced to flee their homes.<\/p>\n

Ledum<\/strong> continued its activities to supply the Blood Service with polymer containers for donors, refrigerators, freezers, and other equipment. Two freezers for plasma were transferred free of charge to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Blood Transfusion Station and to the City Clinical Hospital \u21164 in Dnipro. Clothes were purchased for the wounded at the Military Hospital in Dnipro. In the last quarter, the company paid an income tax of UAH 2,700,000 to the state budget.<\/p>\n

The RGC<\/strong> organized the transfer of humanitarian aid to Chernihiv. And its partner \u2013 the Polish company Elektrometal Polskacollected warm clothes, karemats, power banks, lanterns, chargers, and other essentials for the citizens.<\/p>\n

The Ukrtransgaz<\/strong> specialists started the production of special grapnels for the military. With these tactical tools, our defenders will be able to remotely defuse explosive devices on “tripwires”, while minimizing the risk to their health and life, and to cross combat areas in a safer way.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

The International Charitable Parimatch<\/strong> Foundation together with the WeHelpUkrainians Foundation, a partner of the SteelRose Legal Ltd project and well-known British doctors are implementing an initiative to provide medical care in Ukraine. Ukraine Hospitals Appeal aims to raise funds and support local hospitals to save the lives of Ukrainian children. The overall goal is to raise 1,000,000 euros. The initiative is supported by Dr. Owas Gilani, a world-renowned senior pediatric neurosurgeon, and director of the Gemini Untwined \u0421harity. The Ukraine Hospitals Appeal initiative has already been supported by several partners from the United Kingdom, who have purchased and donated 250,000 euros worth of necessary medical equipment to a children’s hospital in Lviv.<\/p>\n

SkyUp<\/strong> contributes to supporting Ukraine\u2019s economy during the war and helps Ukrainians. All passengers of canceled flights were credited with funds on the balance, which can be used for any SkyUp air travel after the war. During March, SkyUp performed 21 evacuation flights on the route Chisinau – Tel Aviv. SkyUp is currently working on evacuation flights to Portugal, Sweden, and the United Kingdom, as well as Israel-Romania. The company has also formed its own militarized volunteer battalion, symbolically called Skybat: it has combined efforts to protect both the capital and volunteer functions. In total, SkyUp transported 112 tons of humanitarian cargo during the period of war.<\/p>\n

Currently, the main responsibility of TEDIS Ukraine<\/strong> as one of the leading national FMCG distributors is the safety of employees and their families, the preservation of jobs, and the replenishment of state and local budgets. The company maintains a stable supply of tobacco products, lighters, matches, etc. By coordinating with military and civilian administrations and volunteer organizations, TEDIS Ukraine has already donated cars, communications equipment (radio sets and tablets), ammunition, and a large number of tobacco products to the army. Also in March, TEDIS Ukraine announced the creation of a Coordination Center for the Free Delivery of Humanitarian Aid called “Help and Win\u201d.<\/p>\n

L\u2019Oreal Group<\/strong> has launched a humanitarian aid plan. In particular, the L\u2019Oreal group provided 5 million euros in aid, provided more than 150,000 hygiene products for hospitals, maternity hospitals, military enlistment offices, territorial defense centers, and the Armed Forces, as well as 300,000 hygiene products for internally displaced persons.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

SOCAR<\/strong> keeps its refueling activities.\u00a0 Most filling stations are working and the staff is on site. As the representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan, SOCAR provided ambulances and firefighters with more than 100,000 liters. The company continues to refuel them guided by humanitarian principles. Besides, anyone can transfer money to the SOCAR’s Good Fund to help Ukrainian civilians.<\/p>\n

Infopulse<\/strong> has brought together a socially responsible community where the volunteer movement is an important part of the culture. Thanks to the joint efforts we managed to raise more than UAH 4.6 million, which was directed to more than 260. The company has intensified cooperation with its long-term reliable partner – the Children of Hope and Love<\/a> Charity, which accumulates contributions from the company’s specialists, foreign colleagues, partners, and customers. The fund has already received UAH 195,000, which was spent on the purchase of plates and materials for body armor.<\/p>\n

Coca-Cola<\/strong> has announced the suspension of its business in Russia. The Coca-Cola Company, its European bottling partners, including Coca-Cola HBC, and the Coca-Cola Foundation are providing more than $ 3 million in financial assistance and products to support the Red Cross’s efforts in Ukraine and neighboring countries. Teams in Ukraine coordinate large-scale deliveries of water, products and necessary equipment to local hospitals and medical institutions. Besides, the company’s employees work as volunteers: they bring drinks and medicines, prepare food, help refugees and provide social support in all regions of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Since the beginning of the war in Ukraine, Bayer<\/strong> has supported the Ukrainian people. For example, the company provided more than UAH 31 million in humanitarian aid at the request of the Ministry of Health and the National Cancer Institute. They provided anti-inflammatory, cardiovascular, antihistamine, cancer, diagnostic drugs, as well as the treatment of skin diseases.<\/p>\n

The EBA Health Care Committee continues<\/a> to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians, including vital medicines, medical devices, and financial assistance. Among them are AbbVie<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0Adamed<\/strong>, <\/strong>Arterium<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0AstraZeneca<\/strong>, <\/strong>Bayer<\/strong>, <\/strong>Boehringer Ingelheim International GmbH<\/strong>,\u00a0Darnitsa<\/strong>, <\/strong>Egis<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0Farmak<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0GSK<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0MSD<\/strong>, <\/strong>Novartis<\/strong>, <\/strong>Orion Pharma<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0Pfizer<\/strong>, <\/strong>Philips<\/strong>, <\/strong>Roche Diagnostics<\/strong>, <\/strong>Sandoz<\/strong>, <\/strong>Sanofi<\/strong>,\u00a0Takeda<\/strong>,\u00a0Teva<\/strong>,<\/strong>\u00a0U<\/strong>\u0421<\/strong>B<\/strong>, <\/strong>W<\/strong>\u00f6<\/strong>rwag Pharma<\/strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n
