The European Business Association continues a regular dialogue with its member companies to monitor changes in business sentiments, as well as to support them in this difficult time. Thus, our community unites more than 1,000 representatives of Ukrainian and international business.

Thus, according to an express survey conducted by the Association last night (on the eve of Russia’s decision), almost 90% of CEOs confirmed that their businesses continue to work as usual. Of these, about 70% of companies already have contingency plans. At the same time, 15% report their readiness to relocate, but currently remain in Ukraine and continue to monitor the situation.

One-third of companies have introduced remote work opportunities for employees, given the new threats. However, it should be noted that more than half of EBA members have had the remote regime available since the beginning of the pandemic, so this is not a fundamentally new solution. Only 3% of CEOs reported leaving Ukraine, and another 11% reported the departure of their families, but some did so at the request of company headquarters.

       Anna Derevyanko

       EBA Executive Director

The courage and resilience of our companies, which continue to work and believe in a better future for Ukraine, is surely impressive.
