Today, there was the meeting of EBA Logistics Committee with \u00a0Vyacheslav Eremin, Ukrzaliznytsia\u2019s operations director, \u00a0in the office of the European Business Association.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the participants discussed problems with the delivery of goods and empty cars. They also talked about a number of logical measures that will help optimize the movement of goods by rail and will be applied on an ongoing basis.<\/p>\n

The participants of the meeting stressed the importance of introducing early planning of grain transportation (1-3 months), returning the speed of container trains to 750 km\/day.<\/p>\n

Besides, it was mentioned the importance of supporting Ukrzaliznytsia JSC in modernization of the locomotive fleet, the technical condition of the infrastructure (in particular, the reconstruction of the port infrastructure) and cars.<\/p>\n
