{"id":788236,"date":"2021-11-11T12:35:52","date_gmt":"2021-11-11T10:35:52","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2021-11-11T16:13:40","modified_gmt":"2021-11-11T14:13:40","slug":"prezydent-pidpysav-zakonoproyekt-shho-onovlyuye-vymogy-do-dytyachogo-harchuvannya-v-ukrayini","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/prezydent-pidpysav-zakonoproyekt-shho-onovlyuye-vymogy-do-dytyachogo-harchuvannya-v-ukrayini\/","title":{"rendered":"The President signed a draft law that updates the requirements for baby food in Ukraine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">We are pleased to announce that the President has signed draft law \u21164554 &#8220;On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine Concerning the Harmonization of the Legislation of Ukraine in the Field of Childhood Nutrition with EU Legislation&#8221; (Law\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/zakon.rada.gov.ua\/laws\/show\/1822-IX#Text\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">1822-IX<\/span><\/a><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">) which was actively drafted and developed by the experts from the European Business Association.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This Law should bring the legislation of Ukraine in the field of production and sales of baby food to the requirements of EU legislation, namely, in accordance with Regulation \u2116 609\/2013 and Regulation \u2116 2016\/127.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Such changes will modernize state regulation in the field of childhood nutrition, in particular. Thus, the document abolishes outdated and ineffective norms, as well as strengthens the requirements for baby food to those that are effective in the EU. As a result, the regulation of baby food in Ukraine will be harmonized with European requirements. The changes also affect the rules of labeling baby food. The law also abolishes the requirement for &#8220;declarations of conformity&#8221; and compliance with &#8220;technical regulations&#8221;, as in the EU such rules are applied exclusively to non-food products.
