The same problems exist with the permits from the Republic of Poland. Such a situation led to Ukrainian companies being cut off not only from the markets of Belarus and Poland, but also from a number of Baltic and Scandinavian countries, including Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, and Finland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At the same time, the lack of road permits causes significant economic losses to businesses due to non-compliance with foreign economic agreements. Thus, producers are losing markets, carriers are losing orders, and Ukraine&#8217;s economy is losing jobs. The Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine estimated that in October-December this year, due to the lack of permits for Belarus, the carriers might lose about 1.5 billion hryvnia, while the losses of Ukraine&#8217;s economy as a whole would be even greater.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Therefore, the EBA has supported the need to adopt as soon as possible <a href=\"http:\/\/w1.c1.rada.gov.ua\/pls\/zweb2\/webproc4_1?pf3511=69650\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">draft law \u21160060<\/a>, which abolishes the system of road transport permits between Ukraine and Belarus, and drawn the attention of government officials to this issue.<\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">And today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported draft law \u21160060.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Its implementation will not only increase the volume of bilateral trade and transportation with the Republic of Belarus, but also allow Ukrainian carriers to freely use the Belarusian territory for the transit of goods to the Baltic States and Scandinavia.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Therefore, we are extremely grateful to the People&#8217;s Deputies of Ukraine and the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine for the adoption of Draft Law \u21160060 and we hope that it will be signed by the President of Ukraine promptly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Separately, we would like to note that the business community hopes for further state support in the context of liberalization of the international road transport market, including the settlement of a similar problem with Poland.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Be the first to learn about the latest EBA news with our Telegram-channel <\/em><em>\u2013 <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3g6lO9b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>EBAUkraine<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The EBA member companies have recently been actively informing the community about the shortage of international road transport permits from the Republic of Belarus.
