A new wave of severe restrictions is coming to Ukraine due to the aggravation of the coronavirus situation. Stricter rules will apply primarily to unvaccinated Ukrainians. Meanwhile, all those vaccinated can obtain a respective COVID certificate or an international vaccination certificate. How do these documents work, what benefits do they provide and how do they differ? The answers can be found on the\u00a0<\/span>COVID-19 Business Info Portal<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The European Business Association and UNICEF have prepared answers to frequently asked questions regarding the obtainment of the COVID-19-vaccination documents. They were added to the portal so that employers and employees can have the most relevant information on this issue.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to get a digital COVID certificate?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A COVID certificate is a secure document on your phone that certifies that you have received 1 or 2 doses of the vaccine from COVID-19. It can be downloaded from the Diia Electronic Services Portal or in the Diia mobile application. Such a certificate is used both externally for travel abroad and internally for the security checks during the quarantine restrictions. The internal certificate is divided into green and yellow types.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to get an international vaccination certificate?<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The International Vaccination Certificate is a paper document that can be obtained from the doctor who vaccinated you or from your family doctor after you complete the full course of vaccination. It must be signed by a doctor and certified by the seal of the medical institution. The certificate exempts you from the quarantine restrictions of the red zone. For such restrictions, the international certificate has the same force as the digital COVID certificates.<\/span><\/p>\n

In total, vaccination certificates are valid for 365 days. If you have previously received vaccination documents for a period of six months but you want to extend it, follow the steps below:<\/span><\/p>\n

In the case of\u00a0<\/span>a digital COVID certificate<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– update it within a month before the certificate\u2019s expiration date. To do this, you need to delete the previous COVID certificate and generate a new one in the Diia application or the Diia Web Portal.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the case of\u00a0<\/span>an international certificate<\/span><\/strong>\u00a0– after the expiration of the current document (180 days), contact your family doctor and get a new international certificate (it will be valid for another six months)<\/span><\/p>\n

If you have not yet signed up for vaccination, but you intend to click the “<\/span>Sign up for vaccination<\/span><\/a>” button. It will help you to find all Vaccination Centers across Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n
