{"id":788026,"date":"2021-04-30T21:15:18","date_gmt":"2021-04-30T18:15:18","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2021-05-04T13:33:20","modified_gmt":"2021-05-04T10:33:20","slug":"zayava-biznes-spilnoty-shhodo-sytuatsiyi-navkolo-naftogazu","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/zayava-biznes-spilnoty-shhodo-sytuatsiyi-navkolo-naftogazu\/","title":{"rendered":"Business statement regarding the situation with Naftogaz"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This week it became known about the termination of the powers of the Supervisory Board of Naftogaz and the subsequent dismissal of the Chairman of the Board by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">It is worth noting that this decision came as a surprise to the business community.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Thus, transparent, clear, and quality communication of all decisions and steps should be the basis of effective management, whether in public authorities or in state-owned enterprises.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Moreover, respect for corporate governance, accountability, and independence is the guarantee that reforms are moving in the right direction.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Meanwhile, society deserves to understand all the reasons behind the government decisions, and the subjects deserve to learn about such decisions being done, at least not from public statements.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Besides, the business community is concerned that this situation may risk becoming a practice with regard to other state-owned enterprises. After all, the unpredictability of decisions sometimes has a strong impact on the further work of the business.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Therefore, the business hopes for further open, constant, in-depth communications and expects that unpredictable steps that could undermine the existing system of corporate governance will not be made again. After all, we all have one goal &#8211; to create a civilized European country where the rules of the game are clear and transparent.
