{"id":787593,"date":"2020-02-19T18:28:12","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T16:28:12","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2020-02-24T14:34:20","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T12:34:20","slug":"prezydent-vetuvav-zakonoproyekt-1049","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/prezydent-vetuvav-zakonoproyekt-1049\/","title":{"rendered":"The President vetoed Draft Law \u21161049"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The European Business Association welcomes the President\u2019s compliance with reached arrangements to veto Draft Law \u21161049 to repeal an amendment regarding the price regulation for tobacco products.<\/p>\n<p>So, today, February 19, <strong>Draft Law \u21161049 on amendments to some laws related to the introduction of unified payments of taxes and fees, and a unified social tax<\/strong> was <strong>vetoed.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is worth reminding that the community did not support the provision on setting the trade margin on cigarettes for wholesale and retail trade of 7% and 13% of the maximum retail price (MRP), respectively, and manufacturers are obliged to sell cigarettes to distributors at a price not higher than 80% of the MRP.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, the Draft Law <strong>will be forwarded to Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for revision.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Therefore, we hope that the provision on the tobacco industry (clause 2 Chapter II Final and Transitional Provisions) will be amended.
