{"id":787423,"date":"2020-09-01T19:47:03","date_gmt":"2020-09-01T16:47:03","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2020-09-02T11:14:41","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T08:14:41","slug":"biznes-zaklykaye-rozblokuvaty-import-innovatsijnyh-zzr","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/biznes-zaklykaye-rozblokuvaty-import-innovatsijnyh-zzr\/","title":{"rendered":"Business calls to unlock imports of innovative PPPs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For about four years now, Ukrainian farmers have not had full access to innovative plant protection products, or they received the PPPs 4-5 years later than farmers in other countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The reason is that there was a new rule introduced to the Ukrainian sectoral legislation in early 2016. According to this rule, the samples of unregistered pesticides for state testing and research can be imported and used in Ukraine only if they have a documentary confirmation of their state registration in the country of manufacture. However, this requirement cannot be met in practice, as such a rule does not exist in the EU legislation or other developed countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As of today, Ukrainian farmers are virtually deprived of innovative products that can increase crop yields, increase the competitiveness of their products, and increase the environmental sustainability of agriculture. The plant protection products of the new generation can reduce the usage of the product and are safer for the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The adoption of the draft Law \u21162289 &#8220;On Amendments to Article 4 of the Law of Ukraine&#8221; On Pesticides and Agrochemicals &#8220;on the import of pesticides into the customs territory of Ukraine&#8221; can unblock farmers&#8217; access to innovative PPPs by removing this requirement for the import of unregistered plant protection products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Therefore, The European Business Association asks MPs to adopt the draft law \u21162289 at the next meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to unblock scientific research and state testing of innovative plant protection products.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Be the first to learn about the latest EBA news with our Telegram-channel <\/em><em>\u2013 <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/3g6lO9b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>EBAUkraine<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For about four years now, Ukrainian farmers have not had full access to innovative plant protection products, or they received the PPPs 4-5 years later than farmers in other countries.
