The European Business Association appealed to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine regarding draft law \u201cOn Concession\u201d \u2116 1046, which was adopted as a basis with reduced preparation time.<\/p>\n
EBA Logistics Committee experts have repeatedly emphasized the importance of legislatively resolving certain issues in the field of public-private partnerships, especially in attracting private domestic and foreign investments.<\/p>\n
Although the EBA supports the draft law, our experts came to the conclusion that certain provisions of the document need to be finalized. EBA Logistics Committee has already sent its comments to previous versions of the document, but not all of them were taken into account. However, certain provisions still require revision, taking into account the proposals of the Association.<\/p>\n
Without the proposed changes, the current draft law will not lead to those positive shifts in many sectors of the economy expected by the government and business community. Therefore, the Association asked to consider and take into account the developed proposals between the first and second reading.<\/p>\n
In particular, the comments of the EBA member companies that have not been taken into account so far are related to the environmental impact assessment, state support for concession projects, changes to procedural codes and bringing together the proposed changes to the Law of Ukraine \u201cOn the seaports of Ukraine\u201d.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
