Last week, the Ministry of Ecology launched a pilot portal for the provision of administrative services \u2013 Open Environment.<\/p>\n
The portal contains eight categories of services: hazardous chemicals, GMOs, eco-audit, hazardous waste, pesticides and agrochemicals, animals and plants, emissions, and more. Businesses have been expecting the digitization of these services for the last year.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn the near future, for example, you can get a permit to import pesticide and agrochemical samples for state testing and scientific research online. Currently, the members of the Agrochemical Committee of the EBA together with the Ministry of Environment are testing this service. In the future, the time for obtaining the permit will be one or two days, not 10 days as it was before. We thank the state authorities for hearing the voice of business\u201d, said Viktor Pogorilyi, Coordinator of the European Business Association’s Agrochemical Committee.<\/p>\n
The business community expects the launch of the portal to mark a new milestone in business-government interaction on environmental issues, and in the long term, this online system will completely replace personal communication between business and government officials, and therefore minimize corruption risks.<\/p>\n
The European Business Association hopes that this is only the first stage of digitization and that in the near future all services and registers of the Ministry of Ecology will be available online.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
