\ud83d\udcc5 On October 16, a meeting of the Law and Tax Committee of the Western Ukrainian Office of the European Business Association took place, dedicated to one of today\u2019s most relevant topics \u2014 transparency of ownership structures and requirements for disclosure of ultimate beneficial owners (UBOs).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\ud83d\udcbc For business, it is important not only to update UBO information on time, but also to understand the risks associated with non compliance, including financial, reputational, and legal consequences.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

During the meeting, the following issues were discussed:
\n\ud83d\udd39 regulatory framework for UBO disclosure in Ukraine and international approaches;
\n\ud83d\udd39 common mistakes made by applicants and reasons for refusal to register or update information;
\n\ud83d\udd39 how to verify the accuracy of UBO information, especially when ownership structures include foreign entities;
\n\ud83d\udd39 determination of \u201cdecisive influence\u201d in complex ownership structures;
\n\ud83d\udd39 interaction between state registrars, banks, and tax authorities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
