On 20 November, representatives of the EBA Subcommittee on Chemical Safety took part in the workshop \u201cUA-CLP and UA-REACH: What Changes for Chemical and Construction Products and How the Control System Works,\u201d organized by the NGO \u201cLiving Planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event was also joined by Ihor Zubovych<\/strong>, Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine; Dmytro Zaruba<\/strong>, First Deputy Head of the State Environmental Inspectorate of Ukraine; Nataliia Diuzhylova<\/strong>, Deputy Head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine; Oksana Mylianyk<\/strong>, expert of the Reform Support Team at the Ministry of Economy; and Dmytro Yalovyi<\/strong>, OSCE expert in chemical safety.<\/p>\n

During the workshop, companies received up-to-date information from regulatory authorities and representatives of the Ministry of Economy regarding the process of postponing the entry into force of the REACH and CLP regulations, as well as answers to technical questions about the regulations. When outlining inspection plans, Ministry representatives highlighted a shift in approach – from sanctions to preventive measures. The Ministry also plans to strengthen laboratory capacity, ensure prompt responses to violations of legislation, and conduct effective monitoring to prevent such cases.<\/p>\n

The EBA is grateful to the NGO \u201cLiving Planet\u201d for the invitation and a valuable event.
