She doesn’t just analyze numbers \u2014 she transforms them into solutions that help brands grow even in times of crisis. Valeriia Medvetska, an expert in strategic financial management, was recently featured among the authors of the American academic journal Global Journal of Management and Business Research. Her research \u2014 on how Ukrainian retail survives during wartime \u2014 brought the voice of Eastern European practitioners to the international stage.<\/em><\/p>\n

“When the market is shaking, the most important asset is not advertising, but control. Control over cash, inventory, receivables. That\u2019s what my article is about,” says Valeriia.<\/p>\n

From Procurement to Strategic Management<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Valeriia’s career began in Ukrainian retail. At\u00a0Eldorado<\/strong>, she advanced from a procurement specialist to Head of the Commercial Department of the Wholesale Division<\/strong>. Over five years, she managed large B2B contracts<\/strong>\u00a0and also\u00a0developed Private Label products<\/strong>\u00a0specifically for the wholesale channel.<\/p>\n

Her experience in national business naturally transitioned into the international arena. At\u00a0Whirlpool<\/strong>\u00a0(after the merger \u2014\u00a0Beko Europe<\/strong>), Valeriia worked across all key market segments \u2014 from\u00a0wholesale clients<\/strong>\u00a0(such as\u00a0Yug Contract<\/strong>,\u00a0Akustika<\/strong>) to\u00a0national retailers<\/strong>\u00a0(Foxtrot<\/strong>,\u00a0Epicenter<\/strong>). She currently holds the position of\u00a0Key Account Manager<\/strong>\u00a0at Beko Europe. Following the merger, the company\u2019s combined portfolio became the largest in the region, securing first place in the European market for major domestic appliances (MDA), according to GfK. This wide range of clients allowed her to develop deep expertise in financial models and sales channel management in diverse business contexts.<\/p>\n

It focuses on how ARP, APP, and Inventory Conversion Period changed in major Ukrainian retailers during wartime.<\/p>\n
