Sustainability as a Daily Management Decision<\/em><\/p>\n

At the heart of JTI Ukraine\u2019s business strategy lies sustainable development, which is embedded across all key ESG pillars: environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance. The company not only declares its commitment to these principles but also integrates them into its day-to-day management processes. This approach is part of the global strategy of the JT Group, which aims to achieve carbon neutrality in its own operations by 2030 and Net-Zero greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain by 2050.<\/p>\n

Ecology: Emission Reduction, Resource Reuse, and Production Innovation<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2024, JTI\u2019s factory in Kremenchuk reduced its CO\u2082 emissions by more than one-third. The company increased the share of recycled waste to 60%, decreased waste disposal volumes by 10%, and continues to implement solutions for water reuse and energy efficiency. Both in production facilities and offices, JTI uses sensor taps, and reusable tableware, conducts waste separation and battery recycling, and works to reduce water consumption.<\/p>\n

In 2025, JTI Ukraine is placing greater emphasis on reducing energy dependency by introducing alternative energy sources. This aligns not only with global objectives but also with Ukraine\u2019s current needs in the face of energy-related challenges.<\/p>\n

Social Focus: People-Centred Approach, Community Development, and Veteran Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

At JTI Ukraine, social responsibility encompasses both internal policies aimed at employee well-being and external initiatives supporting local communities. In 2024, over 14,000 people received assistance through such projects.<\/p>\n

The company ranks 5th out of 106 participants in the Ukrainian Corporate Equality Index. Its employee benefits package includes full coverage of sick leave and holidays, insurance, bonuses, and support in cases of relocation, childbirth, or retirement. JTI also invests heavily in professional development. In 2024, every employee was offered more than 25 training sessions, 37 hours of learning per person, and access to coaching, mentoring, and an online language learning platform.<\/p>\n

JTI supports the elderly, with over 10,000 recipients of aid, through cooperation with the Caritas-Kyiv and Let\u2019s Help foundations and by assisting geriatric care homes. In 2024, 21 facilities across Ukraine received equipment, supporting more than 1,600 residents. The company also invests in veteran rehabilitation, including prosthetics programmes and psychological support, in partnership with Superhumans.<\/p>\n

Corporate Governance: Transparency, Ethics, and Compliance with Standards<\/strong><\/p>\n

JTI Ukraine adheres to international standards of governance, including annual audits, clear internal procedures, and compliance monitoring in line with both Ukrainian and international legislation. Strategic planning and R&D activities are conducted from Geneva, while the implementation of innovations and production solutions takes place in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

In 2024, the company became the first on the market to receive the status of Authorised Economic Operator (AEO), and its partners are required to uphold principles of transparency and ethics.<\/p>\n

USD430M in Investment: Long-Term Planning and Confidence in Ukraine <\/strong><\/p>\n

Since 1999, JTI has invested over USD 430 million in Ukraine, with USD 60 million earmarked for the 2024\u20132026 period. In 2024, JTI Ukraine also ranked among the country\u2019s largest taxpayers.<\/p>\n
