Art deserves protection no less than people, vehicles, buildings, or manufacturing. UNIQA Ukraine has taken a step that opens a new chapter in the Ukrainian insurance industry \u2014 for the first time, artworks exhibited in a modern gallery, Zenyk Art Gallery (Lviv), have been insured.<\/p>\n
Our parent company, UNIQA Austria, has been the insurance partner of the legendary Albertina Museum in Vienna \u2014 one of Europe\u2019s most renowned collections of classical and contemporary art \u2014 for over two decades. Now, this approach has been introduced in Ukraine for the very first time. In partnership with AON Ukraine<\/strong>, UNIQA Ukraine has provided insurance coverage for a range of exhibits, including unique works from the 16th to the 21st centuries \u2014 among them pieces by D\u00fcrer, Raimondi, Repin, and contemporary Ukrainian artists. Some of the artworks on display were rescued from shelling and are now available for public viewing.<\/p>\n The exhibition, titled \u201cParadise \/ Hell\u201d<\/strong>, invites visitors to feel the delicate boundary between these two worlds.<\/p>\n \u201cThis time we didn\u2019t insure just a space \u2014 we insured the works themselves. Paintings, art, a fragile matter into which so much has been invested \u2014 too much to risk. This practice is still rare in Ukraine, but it is deeply rooted in responsibility, in respect for the artist\u2019s work, and for the history behind each canvas.<\/em> The \u201cParadise \/ Hell\u201d exhibition is not only a milestone in the Ukrainian art scene \u2014 it also sets a benchmark for how cultural heritage should be preserved.
