\u201cTransparency and accountability are the cornerstones of the charity culture we uphold at the Foundation\u201d,<\/em> says Vira Nedzvedska, Vice President for Strategic Partnerships at East Europe Foundation.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n Recently, following an assessment by the Association of Charities of Ukraine, the Foundation was honored to be included in the \u201cCharity Compass of Ukraine\u201d National Rating. As a result, our organization received 118 points, translating into the highest rating of five \u201cstars of trust\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n This recognition followed a rigorous certification process. Non-profit organizations, including our Foundation, voluntarily participated in this special certification. The Association\u2019s experts who developed the rating methodology took inspiration from the best practices of international organizations, particularly the \u201cCharity Navigator\u201d American charity foundation. The methodology was adapted to the Ukrainian context, evaluating participants on 18 indicators \u2014 4 financial and 14 transparency.<\/span><\/p>\n \u201cOur placement in the National Ranking confirms that our team is on the right track. We use our resources efficiently, adhere to the principles of integrity, operate publicly, and our efforts contribute to positive changes in Ukraine\u201d,<\/em> Vira adds.<\/span><\/p>\n As a reminder, the \u201cCharity Compass of Ukraine\u201d National Rating was launched by the Association of Charities in August 2022. Since then, 34 organizations have been recognized.
