In Ukraine, the nation’s health improvement program Mission 50\/28<\/em> has been launched, aimed at systematically combating arterial hypertension. The program is initated by the All-Ukrainian Association of Cardiologists of Ukraine<\/em> with the support of Servier Ukraine, underscoring the company\u2019s commitment to tackling critical healthcare challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Arterial hypertension is a leading cause of cardiovascular morbidity and mortality in Ukraine and globally. This silent and widespread non-communicable disease affects one-third of Ukraine\u2019s population (34.8%). However, only 14.4% of patients with elevated blood pressure take medications and achieve effective control.* The goal of the program is to achieve blood pressure control in 50% of hypertensive patients, bringing it below 140\/90 mmHg, by 2028.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As part of the Mission 50\/28<\/em> program, educational initiatives will be organized to enhance family doctors\u2019 knowledge of diagnosing and treating hypertension in line with modern international and Ukrainian guidelines, with an emphasis on applying these practices in clinical settings. To measure the program\u2019s effectiveness, annual analyses of blood pressure control rates will be conducted, enabling the long-term monitoring of treatment outcomes.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
