For the first time, government officials, the business community, civil society activists, and demographers will discuss together the development of Ukraine’s human capital.<\/b><\/p>\n\t

On October 25<\/strong>, Kyiv will host the Human Capital UA forum<\/a><\/strong>. Heads of ministries, NGOs, diplomats and businesses will discuss the most pressing human capital issues and the global strategy for its development.<\/p>\n

At the event, <\/span>Yulia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine – Minister of Economy of Ukraine<\/b>, will present the government’s human capital developments, and the Center for Economic Recovery will present in-depth research on various aspects of human capital topic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since February 24, 2022, more than 6 million Ukrainians have fled abroad to escape the war, and more than 8 million have become internally displaced. Experts estimate that the labor shortage could reach 4.5 million people, which means about $45 billion in lost taxes over 10 years. Failure to return forced migrants will cost Ukraine $113 billion in lost GDP over this time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Human Capital UA aims to start a dialog about the economy, security, social sphere, quality of life, education and the future. To create a unified state strategy for human capital development with the involvement of all stakeholders.<\/span><\/p>\n

Four Human Capital UA panels will focus on key issues in the human capital sphere: synchronization of public policy, demographic strategy, business and human capital, and the role of civil society in human capital development.<\/span><\/p>\n

Oksana Zholnovych, <\/b>Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine, <\/span>Viktor Liashko, <\/b>Minister of Health,<\/span> Tetiana Berezhna, <\/b>Deputy Minister of Economy,<\/span> Ella Libanova, <\/b>Doctor of Economics, Professor,<\/span> Oleksandr Sushko,<\/b> Executive Director of the International Renaissance Foundation <\/span>will participate in the discussions.<\/b><\/p>\n
