First day of the 23-24 school year \ud83c\udf1f\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/P-3Xnzhva6s?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/enrol.psi.kyiv.ua\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pechersk School International<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (PSI Kyiv) celebrated the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=P-3Xnzhva6s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">official re-opening<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of Kyiv campus!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u2018With a successful reopening this last week, we all together can share in the excitement of having achieved this endeavour together, as one community. To see the smiling faces of our students and parents, and the excitement of our teaching staff, in these first days was a true gift.\u2019<\/em> &#8211; <strong>Trae Holland, School Director.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The school has welcomed students from the United States of America, Italy, the United Kingdom, Israel, and Ukraine. In the 2023-2024 school year, PSI Kyiv is prioritising socio-emotional aspects of learning, while also delivering the best educational experience for students in Kyiv:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">60% of the teaching faculty are educators from overseas countries. PSI continues to attract exceptional staff and faculty members, who persist in serving the community with a sense of pride and profound dedication.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PSI&#8217;s Board of Governors has adjusted the enrollment quota for Ukrainians to become more open in times of heightened interest in international education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PSI is well-prepared for emergency situations. Bomb shelters are fully equipped and replicate classroom spaces.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the spring of 2023, PSI was awarded renewed accreditation status by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) and the International Baccalaureate (IB). Jeffrey Bradley, Director of NEASC, stated that &#8220;&#8230;the community has succeeded in spite of COVID and the invasion, with all its associated upheaval and challenges. It serves as an inspiration to all in the global educational community.&#8221;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Well-being lies at the heart of everything the school does. PSI offers counselling services and provides social, emotional, and mental health support to its students and community members.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PSI is committed to maintaining the unity of the community. A sense of belonging permeates every aspect of the organization&#8217;s life.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pechersk School International is confident that the reopening of the school in Kyiv lays a solid foundation for the year ahead.
