On March 13, 2023, the business community of the EBA Southern Ukrainian Office met with the leadership of the Odesa Customs of the State Customs Service, with the participation of the newly appointed head Yuriy Yermakov.<\/strong> The event was attended by Oleksandr Lazarev, Chairman of the EBA Odesa Coordination Council, CEO of Lamarin.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thus, companies had the opportunity to voice their problematic issues in the area of activity of the Odesa Customs and contribute to their solution. In particular, we talked about: carrying out customs formalities at the checkpoints “Bilhorod – Dnistrovskyi”, “Reni – Giurgiulesti” and “Orlivka – Isakcha”; execution of EA-type customs declarations in general and at sea checkpoints in particular; entry into force of amendments to Article 259 of the Customs Code of Ukraine from 07.11.2023, among other things, regarding the cancellation of the application of the preliminary customs declaration of the EA type; peculiarities of customs clearance of ethyl alcohol (as a raw material for the production of alcoholic beverages) directly at the checkpoint at the state border and prospects for customs clearance without providing a financial guarantee; advantages of AEO status and feasibility of obtaining simplifications by business; the mechanism of response of customs brokers to notifications of customs about the intention of the State Customs Service to adopt an unfavorable decision; submission by exporters of an electronic application for the issuance of certificates for the carriage of goods EUR.1 or EUR-MED, etc.<\/p>\n
