Our victory in one of the largest public disputes in the field of taxation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our attorneys of Dispute Resolution practice have achieved the abolition of tax charges in the amount of ~ UAH 1 billion.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Client is the owner of one of the largest office centers in Kyiv with an area of over 75 thousand square meters.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 2019 as a result of the tax audit, Client has been accrued additional liabilities for violation of: (1) VAT issues (2) procedure for accounting of exchange rates and (3) accounting for the depreciation of office center.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our defense covered the next steps: the tax audit, in course of which the attorneys documented all the violations carried out by the tax authority; collection of evidence; carrying out of forensic expertise, defense in litigation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Key facts of this complex case:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On December 14, 2021, the District Administrative Court of Kyiv made a decision in favor of the Client and canceled illegal tax notification-decisions.<\/li>\n<li>During the proceedings in court of appeal, a tax authority tried to confirm the legitimacy of their conclusions, including by assigning one more forensic economic expertise.<\/li>\n<li>However, on November 08, 2022, the Sixth Administrative Court of Appeal confirmed the illegality of actions carried out by the supervisory authority.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Due to the well-formed legal position of our lawyers, the interests of the Client have been protected.
