Under the instruments, which are relatively new for Ukrainian market, EBRD will cover\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">more than half\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">the credit risk of newly originated financing provided by\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">the partner financing institutions<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">. The share of risk the EBRD takes on\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">will be up<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0to EUR 30 million. The programme\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">will<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0facilitate<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\"> access to finance\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">for\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">eligible<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">\u00a0Ukrainian companies operating in critical agri-related industries<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0(farming, food processing, transport and imports). Ensuring food security is one of the top priorities in EBRD support plan for Ukraine\u2019s economy amid Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine.<\/span>\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Redcliffe Partners&#8217; role in the transaction included\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">adjustment of the risk sharing instruments to Ukrainian law, review\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">of\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">transaction documentation<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">,<\/span><span lang=\"EN-US\">\u00a0analysis of partner institutions\u2019 standard agreements as to their compliance with EBRD criteria and\u00a0<\/span><span lang=\"EN-GB\">issuance of the Ukrainian legal opinion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p class=\"xxxmsonormal\"><span lang=\"EN-GB\">Our team advising on the transaction consisted of <strong>Olexiy Soshenko<\/strong>, managing partner, and <strong>Evgeniy Vazhynskiy<\/strong>, senior associate.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Redcliffe Partners acted as Ukrainian legal counsel to European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in connection with risk sharing instruments provided to ProCredit Bank, OTP Bank and OTP Leasing.
