Today in the labor market we are seeing a change in trends. Gradually, the government and parliament are getting rid of the “old” rules in labor relations, which are being replaced by new modern solutions. Thus, in 2021 the process of making radical changes and improving labor legislation began.<\/p>\n

On October 6, 2021<\/strong>, we met at the EBA Odesa HR Hub<\/strong>, we discussed the main changes in labor legislation in 2021 and conducted a brief overview of the directions of movement and further development. Invited speakers, experts of the “Arzinger” Law Firm<\/strong> – adviser to labor and corporate law practitioners Alesya Pavlynska <\/strong>and labor law lawyer Ksenia Lotosh<\/strong> – told about:<\/p>\n

  • relations with officials of LLC and ALC, in connection with the entry into force of changes to paragraph 12 of Art. 39 of the Law \u201cOn Limited and Additional Liability Companies\u201d of August 14, 2021 (introduced by the Law \u201cOn Stimulating the Development of the Digital Economy in Ukraine\u201d, better known as the Law on Diya City);<\/li>\n
  • Gig-contracts and gig-specialists subject to special special conditions regarding working hours (including non-standard working hours), granting leave, grounds and terms for termination of contracts, control and supervision of work, etc. (amendments introduced by the Law on Diya City of August 14 2021);<\/li>\n
  • electronic hospital and replacement of paper hospital information from the Unified Register of Insurers on the PFC Portal (Transition period – until October 1, 2021);<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    In addition, attention was paid to the transition to electronic employment records, new rules for distance work and homework, changes in “maternity” leave and a new type of leave at birth.<\/p>\n

    Therefore, employers should continue to follow the new rules, in particular in matters of granting leave, including after the approval of the CMU Procedure for granting leave at birth, update internal policies and procedures for granting leave, inform employees about the relevant changes.<\/p>\n
