PwC experts announced the results of the annual survey \u201cTrends in tax audits 2021\u201d that brings into focus the key trends and allows to benchmark specifics of tax audits in Ukraine against other countries in Central and Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n

The survey provides an understanding of the way the Covid-19 pandemic influenced the processes connected to tax audits and brings into light the information regarding the difficulties that businesses had to face during such audits.<\/p>\n

\u201cAccording to statistics, almost half of the taxpayers whose activities were audited by the tax authorities were not aware of the identified violations of tax legislation until they received the tax audit report. The absence of such information in fact leaves the taxpayer without the right to provide additional explanations or documents that would disprove the tax authority’s conclusions\u201d,<\/em> commented Yana Bazia, Manager of Dispute Resolution Practice of PwC Legal in Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
