{"id":775808,"date":"2021-08-19T10:54:10","date_gmt":"2021-08-19T07:54:10","guid":{"rendered":""},"modified":"2021-08-19T11:08:29","modified_gmt":"2021-08-19T08:08:29","slug":"diya-siti-nova-era-dlya-ukrayinskogo-it","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/new.eba.com.ua\/en\/diya-siti-nova-era-dlya-ukrayinskogo-it\/","title":{"rendered":"Diia City \u2013 a new age for the Ukrainian IT sector?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After three months of refining, on 15 July 2021, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine (the \u201c<b>Parliament<\/b>\u201d) adopted the draft law \u2116 4303 \u201cOn Stimulating Development of the Digital Economy in Ukraine\u201d (the \u201c<b>Law<\/b>\u201d) in its second reading.<\/p>\n<p>On 11 August 2021, the President signed the Law, and on 14 August 2021, the Law entered into force.<\/p>\n<p>The Law launches the Diia City regime and defines its key elements:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">principles and guarantees of the legal regime;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">criteria for the Diia City residency and compliance requirements for its residents;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">the regime\u2019s governance system mechanisms;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">new options for engagement of IT specialists;<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoNormal\">new legal instruments, exclusive for the Diia City residents, that are common abroad but have not been fully implemented in Ukraine.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>Gig-contracts<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The Law introduces gig-contracts and gig-contractors \u2013 a new form of talent engagement and an alternative to formal employment and engagement of private entrepreneurs. Gig-contracts are available exclusively for the Diia City residents.
