On April 7th, Shell published three reports that together demonstrate Shell\u2019s efforts to remain at the forefront of the drive for greater corporate transparency around activities that are important to investors, governments and civil society.<\/p>\n
The 24th edition of the Shell Sustainability Report<\/a><\/strong> outlines our actions and progress to reach our climate target and to drive our social, safety and environmental performance.<\/p>\n In his introduction to the report, Shell Chief Executive Officer Ben van Beurden<\/strong> writes: \u201cIn 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic changed the world and people\u2019s lives in ways we could never have imagined. It was a tough year for everyone. It was a tough year for Shell, but also a year when we set a clear path for our future.<\/em><\/p>\n \u201cWe refreshed our business strategy and, when we announced it in February 2021, we called it Powering Progress. Powering Progress sets out our goals for powering lives and livelihoods, and respecting nature by protecting the environment. It lays out how we believe Shell can and must play a role as the world accelerates towards a future of zero- and lower-carbon energy.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n The Sustainability Report sets out Shell\u2019s progress in the transition to a lower-carbon world and its contribution to society, which includes helping to achieve universal access to cleaner, affordable energy. The report also includes the details of the Net Carbon Footprint* of energy products Shell sold each year from 2016 to 2020. The report assesses 36 key industry associations\u2019 climate-related policy and advocacy against Shell\u2019s climate-related policy positions. It also provides a summary of how much we paid to these associations in 2020. Since then, Shell-branded fuel sites network has been operated by\u00a0Royal Dutch Shell \/ Alliance Holding. Shell Retail Ukraine is a part of the Central and Eastern European cluster of Shell Downstream. Shell in Ukraine employs around 1 500 people.<\/p>\n To date, the network of Shell-branded fuel sites consists of 132 stations in 20 oblasts of Ukraine, offering its customers high-quality motor fuel products, including Shell V-Power petroleum, diesel & LPG, as well as a solid range of Convenience Retailing goods, tasty food & beverages products. In an effort to meet the expectations of a growing number of Ukrainian electric vehicle owners, Shell in cooperation with its partners installed five electric vehicle charging modules at selected fuel sites.<\/p>\n
