There are 2 mandatory factors for a project to participate: 1) project must be aimed to protect the environment; 2) project must have a social or educational character.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the award is to support women in their fight for environmental protection, recognizing their eco-projects as the most promising and relevant and providing financial support for their development.<\/p>\n<p>In order to select the best eco-projects in each country, a team of jury members is formed. The juries select the most promising eco-projects that are already implemented and have achievements. The authors of the top three eco-projects receive grants for their development. The Yves Rocher Foundation comments that by awarding the winners with grants, the organization hopes to fulfill the main objective of the Award &#8211; to improve the environmental situation in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe Yves Rocher Foundation was founded over 25 years ago as the epitome of displaying the Rocher family values and the desire to give back to Nature what it so generously gives us every day. The core mission of the Yves Rocher Foundation is to actively work to protect our common future and change the world for the better, together\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jacques Rocher<\/strong>, President of the Yves Rocher Foundation<\/p>\n<p>The jury selects three winners who receive a grant for the implementation and development of their projects: 5 000, 3000 and 2 000 euros for the 1<sup>st<\/sup> , 2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u00a0and 3<sup>rd<\/sup> \u00a0places respectively. The 1<sup>st<\/sup> \u00a0prize winner participates in the International Competition in Paris and has the opportunity to receive a grant of 10\u00a0000 euros.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Ukrainian jury of the 11<sup>th<\/sup> \u00a0\u00abTerre de Femmes\u00bb Award includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Anna Zaptalova<\/strong> \u2013 general director of \u201cYves Rocher Ukraine\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Taras Topolya<\/strong> &#8211; frontman of \u201cAntytila\u201d rock-band, juniors ambassador of UNISEF in Ukraine;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nata Zhizhchenko<\/strong> \u2013 frontwoman of \u201cONUKA\u201d band;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Konstantin Putylenko<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201cMarie Claire Ukraine\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sonia Zabouga<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201cELLE Ukraine\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Aleksandra Burinska<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201cCosmopolitan Ukraine\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Anna Zemskova<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201cHarper\u2019s Bazaar Ukraine\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kateryna Svetlichnaya<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201c\u041a\u0430\u0440\u0430\u0432\u0430\u043d \u0418\u0441\u0442\u043e\u0440\u0438\u0439\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Zhanna Lavrova<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201cEvent Ukriane\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Natalia Yemelina<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201c\u0415\u0434\u0438\u043d\u0441\u0442\u0432\u0435\u043d\u043d\u0430\u044f\u201d and \u201c\u0422\u0432\u043e\u0439 \u041c\u0430\u043b\u044b\u0448\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Andrii Bashtovyi<\/strong> &#8211; chief editor of \u201cthe Village\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Yuriy Marchenko\u00a0<\/strong>&#8211; chief editor of \u201cPlatfor.ma\u201d;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Eugenia Aratovska<\/strong> &#8211; curator of project \u201cNo Waste Ukraine\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The jury evaluated the projects on the following criterias: reliability of the organization \/ project, positive environmental impact of the project, practical benefit and social importance of the project for local communities and \/ or Ukraine, quality of project\u2019s connection with local communities and organizations, history of achievements \/ specific results, budget justification, motivation and dedication of the project manager, originality \/ innovativeness of the project, prospects of project development.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the event, the names of the winners of \u201cTerre de Femmes\u201d Award in 2020 were announced:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Svitlana Petrakovska<\/strong> \u2013 1<sup>st<\/sup> awards laureate with the \u201cGreen angels of salt lakes\u201d project. The project aims to protect the coastal protective stripes of the salt lake Bourgas by creating ecobunas (breakwaters) from the vine along the perimeter of the estuary, providing the emergence of a new shoreline, as well as planting of 8.5 km of 3-tier vegetation belt from trees and shrubs that will strengthen the slopes of the banks of the estuaries Burnas, Alibey and Kurudiol.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Yanina Lucheyko<\/strong> is a laureate of 2<sup>nd<\/sup> award with the project \u201cResponsible attitude to nature for the conservation of nature of the Carpathians\u201d. The project\u2019s aim is the conservation of the Carpathian nature and the health of residents from harmful impact of waste due to the implementation of waste sorting and education of smart consumption: the creation of guidebooks for teaching children of preschool and young people about rubbish and it\u2019s impact on health and nature, organization of eco activities for location cleaning, organization of eco-picnics for children and their parents.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nadiia Kostina<\/strong> is a laureate of 3<sup>rd<\/sup> award with the project \u201cHealing by nature: the treatment of Autism and Cerebral Palsy\u201d. The project\u2019s aim is the adaptation and rehabilitation of autistic children, as well as children and young people with other physical and mental disabilities with environmental rehabilitation.
