The first meeting of European Business Association representatives\u00a0<\/span>was held<\/span>\u00a0with the new head of the region.\u00a0<\/span>Oleksandr\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Bondarenko<\/span><\/b>,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>Chairman of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span>stated his\u00a0<\/span>main goals and objectives<\/span><\/b>\u00a0at the beginning of the meeting<\/span>:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Increasing economic indicators<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. To be the region # 1, because Dnipropetrovsk region is the lar<\/span>gest region by population – 3.2 <\/span>million<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Welfare of the average population<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Overcoming corruption<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Effective budget allocation and spending<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. New tools for interaction with the authorities, etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Kateryna Uschapovska<\/span><\/b>, Head of\u00a0<\/span><\/b>EBA office in Dnipro<\/span><\/b>,<\/span><\/b>\u00a0spoke about the\u00a0<\/span>focus<\/span>\u00a0of\u00a0<\/span>the Association<\/span>\u00a0activities and emphasized the common priorities: \u201cWe are ready to make joint efforts to improve the business climate in the region and attract new foreign investments. And in order to attract investments, we need to develop close coope<\/span>ration with existing investors.<\/span>\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Oleksand<\/span><\/b>r\u00a0<\/span><\/b>Bondarenko<\/span><\/b>\u00a0also presented the investment potential of Dnipropetrovsk region.\u00a0<\/span><\/b>By the way, those present at the meeting<\/span>\u00a0were the first to h<\/span>ear this information \u2013 specific\u00a0<\/span>proposals, investment projects and development programs<\/span>\u00a02020<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Within the\u00a0<\/span><\/b>RSA<\/span><\/b>, the following opportunities and programs\u00a0<\/span><\/b>have been created<\/span><\/b>\u00a0for investors:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Investment and Innovation Center<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Investment Board<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Investor Relations Department<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Formats of public-private partnership<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Pavlograd<\/span>\u00a0Industrial Park<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Of course, they discussed priority issues. Briefly:<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Airport: construction of a landing strip – 3000 m2, 4P, which will be able to take planes into the fog, in Ukraine such a strip is only available at the\u00a0<\/span>Boryspil<\/span>\u00a0airport. Construction of aviation cargo terminal.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Infrastructure: road construction<\/span>,<\/span>\u00a0though, the budget is very small<\/span>.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Ecolo<\/span>gy: Dnipropetrovsk region \u2013 the\u00a0<\/span>number 1 air pollution region. Negotiations with the<\/span>\u00a0TOP-<\/span>25 polluters in the region.<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Upcoming plans: <\/span>Business delegation to the US after the\u00a0<\/span>new year and <\/span>Dn<\/span>i<\/span>propetrovsk International Economic Forum 2020 in March.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        The second part of the meeting was communication and questions to the head of the Regional State Administration.<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        For our part, we want to note that the meeting was really constructive, effective and informative. We are grateful to Mr.\u00a0<\/span>Bondarenko<\/span>\u00a0for the\u00a0<\/span>conversation<\/span>, for his support, and for the assistance and advice in dealing with the business\u00a0<\/span>issues<\/span>\u00a0he has already provided in the course of communication.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
