On September 25, 2019 \u201cIlyashev & Partners\u201d trademark was recognized as well-known in Ukraine by the decision of the Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine. Currently, only about 200 trademarks have such status in Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The decision on the consideration “Ilyashev and Partners” trademark as well-known was made on the basis of the collected evidence, among which was an exclusive sociological survey conducted in 6 largest Ukrainian cities: Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Odesa, Lviv, and Zaporizhia. According to the information received as a result of the conducted survey, \u201cIlyashev & Partners\u201d trademark is known for 74.8% of the respondents, while 86.3% of them aware that this mark is used with regard to the legal services.<\/p>\n
The recognition of a trademark as well-known provides not only unlimited legal protection of such an object but also makes it possible to obtain rights to it well before the date of the decision itself. Ordinary trademarks, unlike well-known ones, receive protection only from the date of filing the application, the registration period is limited to 10 years (with the possibility of extending paid) and legal protection does not extend to non-related goods and services.<\/p>\n
Legal protection for the well-known mark \u201cIlyashev & Partners\u201d is valid from 01.01.2015 and the scope of legal protection applies from this date not only to the services in respect of which the mark is recognized as well-known but also to other unrelated services and\/or goods.<\/p>\n
